WATCH: Allen Iverson gives Craig Sager heartfelt support

The outpouring of support for Craig Sager has to put a smile on your face.

Everyone from Michael Jordan to Gregg Popovich to Steph Curry has gone off-script during live interviews to offer inspiring words to the reporter, who continues to battle leukemia.

But Allen Iverson may have topped them all.

Sager interviewed Iverson at the Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony earlier this week. And Iverson, a 2016 inductee to the Hall, picked Sager up with some concise yet powerful words.

“I love you, man,” Iverson told Sager at the conclusion of the interview, after Sager complimented Iverson’s illustrious playing career. “You a fighter. And fight. Do what we do. That’s what we do. We fight. Alright?”

“I’ll follow you,” Sager responded.

“Alright, love,” Iverson said, a huge smile spread across his face.

We couldn’t have said it better.
